Dr. Hugo Sousa Dias is an endodontist with a clinical practice exclusively dedicated to Endodontics in Portugal. He completed his postgraduate training in Endodontics at the University of Lisbon – School of Dentistry. He is currently an Invited Professor in the Post-Graduate Program in Endodontics at IUCS-CESPU University in Porto and collaborates regularly with the postgraduate Endodontic programs of the University of Porto – School of Dentistry, Católica University – School of Dentistry, the University of Valencia, and University of Lisbon.

Dr. Sousa Dias is actively involved in advanced clinical training, delivering joint hands-on programs focused on complex endodontic scenarios, including ledge management, removal of separated instruments, calcified canals, and identification of missed anatomies. He previously served as Director of the Masters in Endodontics – Clinical Residency at the Foramen Dental Education Center (2014–2018).

He is the founder of the Portuguese Endodontic Study Group and the creator of the “Hugo Sousa Dias & Friends” Webinar Sessions, both initiatives dedicated to continuous education and scientific exchange within the endodontic community. A frequent lecturer, he delivers national and international courses and presentations on contemporary endodontic techniques and clinical decision-making.

Dr. Sousa Dias is a Member of the Clinical Practice Committee of the European Society of Endodontology and currently serves as Vice-President of the Portuguese Endodontic Society. He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific articles and book chapters in the field of Endodontics.
