Dr. João Pedro Almeida is a distinguished Portuguese dentist with extensive expertise in various facets of dentistry. He obtained his degree in Dentistry from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Coimbra in 1993. Additionally, he pursued further education, earning a post-graduate degree in Health Unit Management from the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences at the Portuguese Catholic University between 2004 and 2006. Dr. Almeida currently serves as the Clinical Director at CMI and holds the position of Scientific Director at ITEA-Implantology and Tissue Engineering Academy. He is highly regarded as a coordinator and instructor for Advanced Training Courses in Implantology. Dr. Almeida 's expertise extends internationally, as he has been a speaker at national and international conferences, addressing topics ranging from biomaterials for implantology to bone regeneration. His commitment to ongoing learning is evidenced by his participation in various specialized courses and conferences around the globe, including those in Sweden, Cuba, Israel, Germany, Hungary, France, Brazil, and the US. Furthermore, he has contributed significantly to research in biofabrication, particularly in scaffolds for tissue engineering, during his tenure as an investigator at esteemed institutions such as the Center for Rapid and Sustainable Product Development (CDRsp) at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria and the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra.
