About the author

Dr Marco Toia graduated from University of Milan in 2001 and specialised on orthodontics in 2004 and oral surgery in 2007 from the same University. He received his Ph.D. at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Medicine, Faculty of Odontology, Malmö University (2020) titled "On clinical and mechanical aspects of implant-supported screw-retained multi-unit CAD-CAM metal framework". Dr Toia is a private practitioner in Milan (Italy) and affiliated at Malmö University. He is the author of many peers reviewed publications and an active member in several international organizations such as Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO), Italian President of PEERS (Dentsply Sirona Academy) and ordinary Member of AIOP (Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry), and EAO (European Academy of Osseointegration).
