Dr. Caplanis is an Assistant Professor and part-time faculty within the Graduate Program in Implant Dentistry, at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. He graduated from Rutgers Dental School in 1991, completed a hospital based general practice residency in 1992, a three year Residency in Implant Dentistry in 1995, received a Master of Science Degree in Oral Implantology in 1996 and earned a specialty Certificate in Periodontics in 1997. Dr. Caplanis has an extremely unique background with formal residency training in the inter-related fields of Implant surgery, Prosthodontics and Periodontics.
Dr. Caplanis is Board Certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology as well as the American Board of Oral Implantology. He is a past President, and an honored Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and the current President of the California Society of Periodontists. He has over 15 peer review publications in the literature including multiple textbook contributions, and has lectured nationally as well as internationally on topics related to dental implants, tissue regeneration, and implant maintenance. He has been in full-time private practice limited to Periodontics and Dental Implant surgery, in Mission Viejo, California for 20 years.
Am 30. September und 1. Oktober 2016 fand nunmehr zum 46. Mal der DGZI-Jahreskongress statt. Unter dem Motto „Wie viel Ästhetik braucht die Implantologie?“ lockte der Kongress mehr als 500 Teilnehmer in die bayerische Landeshauptstadt München. weiterlesen
