Bone augmentation and implant rehabilitation in an 82-year-old patient – Biological bone regeneration using the tenting-pole technique

This article presents the comprehensive and successful treatment of an 82-year-old female patient with severe, advanced bone loss in the maxilla. The treatment was carried out in several carefully planned stages and combined contemporary bone regeneration techniques with a customised implantological approach. Bone augmentation, a procedure used to restore lost alveolar bone volume, played a central role in the overall treatment concept.

Dieser Beitrag befasst sich mit der umfassenden und erfolgreichen Therapie einer 82-jährigen Patientin, die an einem stark fortgeschrittenen Knochenverlust im Bereich des Kiefers litt. Die Behandlung erfolgte in mehreren sorgfältig geplanten Phasen und kombinierte moderne Techniken der Knochenregeneration mit einer individuell angepassten Implantattherapie. Dabei spielte die Knochenaugmentation, eine Methode zur Wiederherstellung des verloren gegangenen Knochens, eine zentrale Rolle.
