Prof. Leonardo Trombelli is a full professor and the chair of the Department of Periodontology, School of Dentistry at the University of Ferrara. He serves as director of the Research Center for the Study of Periodontal and Peri-implant Diseases at the University of Ferrara and as director of the Dental Clinic, University Hospital, Ferrara. Prof. Trombelli has been the dean of the Dental School at the University of Ferrara since 2013. From 2007 to 2009, he served as president of the Italian Society of Osseointegration, of which he is still an active member. He is also an active member of the Italian Society of Periodontology and Implantology and the International Association for Dental Research. Prof. Trombelli serves as an editorial board member of several peer-reviewed journals. He practices Periodontology and Implantology as an independent professional.
